Collette G. (Thibault) Halpin, age 84, passed away on Monday, June 13, 2022 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Romeo and Delima (Corneau) Thibault.
Collette worked for Anderson Little Co. as a Seamstress in the early years and as a Home Health Aide taking care of clients in their homes until her retirement. .She was an active communicant of the former Immaculate Conception and St. Bernadette churches where she was involved with the Womens Guild, Choir, and Girl Scout Troop. She enjoyed making Wedding/Anniversary cakes for those special occasions and working on crafts throughout the years. Collette was a devoted mother and friend to many people.
She is survived by her son Master Sgt. Michael F. Halpin USMC/USA,Retired and his wife Colleen of Richland Hills, TX.; two daughters, Michelle Leonardo and her fiancé John Albernaz, and Renee Johnson and her husband Kenneth both of Fall River, MA, siblings: Jeannine Speight, Richard “Dick” Thibault, and Simone Miller, grandchildren: Melissa, Chad, Erin, Cory, Colin, Seth, Lily and Logan, great grandchildren: Nathan, Caden, Dillon, Stephen, Mason, Matthew, Jake and Addison and many nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Romeo “Pete” Thibault and mother in law of the late Steven Leonardo.
Calling hours for Collette will be held on Monday, June 20th from 4-8 PM at the Hathaway Home for Funerals 1813 Robeson St., Fall River. Her funeral will take place on Tuesday June 21st, 9 AM from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM at Holy Trinity Church, 951 Stafford Rd., Fall River.
