Charlotte R. Fradkin, 98, passed away with her family by her side on June 1, 2022. She was the loving wife of the late Dr. Irving A. Fradkin. Together, they had shared 70 years of marriage.
Charlotte was born in Chelsea, MA and was the daughter of the late Joseph Sheinfield and Fannie (Schecter) Sheinfield.
Mrs. Fradkin was a longtime and devoted member of Temple Beth El in Fall River, Charlotte had a beautiful soprano voice that she contributed to the temple choir for several decades.. She also volunteered part time for several years at the Fall River Jewish Home where she was known for her kind and uplifting attitude and her beautiful voice. A resident of Fall River since 1946, Charlotte and her husband devoted much of their time to numerous civic organizations around the city. Charlotte will be remembered as the “queen of puns” and a caring, smart and inquisitive woman who enjoyed her daily Jumble in the newspaper all in her head, and always put the needs of others first.
She is survived by her children, Marlene Adams, Robert and Russell, their spouses, Blair Smith, Goedele Gulikers and Jane Fradkin, grandchildren, Jeff, Karen, Jessica and Michael; seven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Esther Sheinfield, Molly Fishbein and Hyman Sheinfield.
A graveside service for Mrs. Fradkin will be held on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at 11am in Temple Beth El, Cemetery, 4620 North Main St., Fall River. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. All are welcome to attend Shiva at the family home, 624 Florence St., Fall River from 2-5pm.
