Charles Moran Boynton, 82, passed away on Friday, November 2, 2018, after a long illness.
Charles was born in North Adams, MA, and was a son of the late Richard B. Boynton and Leona Moran Boynton Tillotson.
Charles was a retired Class A Tool Maker and owner of Boynton True Value Hardware and Grain in Assonet, MA for over 30 years. He enjoyed raising and taking care of his many farm animals. He also supported his community over 4 years as a volunteer fire fighter and a member of the planning board for the Town of Freetown, MA.
He is survived by his wife, Pauline Caron Boynton of Assonet, MA; daughter, Julie L. Boynton (Michael G. Stewart) of Berwyn Heights, MD; son, Shaun M. Boynton (Margaret Stevens Boynton) of Woodstock, CT; brother, R. Wayne Boynton (Donna Cole) of Pittsfield, MA; and two sisters, Dianne Sears (Bill Sears) of Palm Beach Gardens, FL; and Beverly Brooks of Peabody, MA; as well as three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial mass is scheduled for Sunday, November 18th at 1pm at Holy Family Parish, 372 Middleboro Ave, East Taunton, MA 02718 for family and friends. A reception to follow.
