Obituary

Carole Anne Phillipe, age 75, returned to her heavenly home, on May 4, 2018, after a valiant battle with Parkinson's disease, her loving husband of 52 years steadfastly at her side. Carole's devotion to family along with her faith were both tremendous supports for her. Carole was born September 17, 1942, in Westbrook, Maine, to Rudolph and Madeline Vincent. She attended deaf schools beginning, in Portland, Maine, then on to Baxter School for the Deaf and finally The American School for the Deaf, in Hartford, Connecticut, specializing in administrative work.

While in school Carole worked summers, in Westbrook, Maine, at the paper mill and after college worked for an insurance company, in Hartford. She then worked as a cashier at Wal Mart Route 44, in Raynham, after moving to Taunton, Massachusetts.

It was in Hartford, after college, that Carole met the love of her life, Dennis Phillipe. They were married at St. Hyacinth's Catholic Church, in 1966. During their long and happy marriage, they were blessed with 3 beautiful children. Carole embraced motherhood and raised her children with patience, love and humility.

After retirement, Carole and Dennis enjoyed spending time with their family, church community, projects around the house, and many summers, in Colchester, Vermont, in an idyllic setting on Lake Champagne.

Always kind and easy to smile, Carole will be greatly missed by her loved ones who celebrate the fact that she is at peace with her creator. Carole was preceded in death by her daughter Priscilla Loftin in 2010 (husband Matt of Taunton, MA) She is survived by Pauline Ballentine of Loveland, CO (husband Chris) and David Phillipe (wife Laurie) of Taunton, MA. She is also survived by 8 lovely grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Carole has one brother, Michael Vincent (wife Nancy) of La Jolla, CA.
