Obituary

Carol F. (Bernardo) Lundrigan, 84, of Dartmouth passed away Monday, January 10, 2022 at St. Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford after a brief illness.  She was the wife of the late James Lundrigan.

Born and raised in Fall River, daughter of the late Frank and May (Pickering) Bernardo, she lived in New Bedford and settled in Somerset in 1982 where she lived until 2015. She relocated to Kentucky, MA and New York to live with family, returning to the area in 2020.  She was a graduate of Bristol Aggie High School and attended Boston University.  Carol was a member of the First Baptist Church in Fall River.

Carol had worked as a floral designer for various florists and also had been a field service engineer for Litton Industry.  She enjoyed gardening.

She is survived by her daughter, Rev. Debra Lee and her husband Douglas of New Bedford;  five grandchildren, Lori, Sandie, Diane, Chelsea and Brittany;  a daughter in law, Shirley Stutz of KY;  eight grandchildren;  two great, great grandchildren;  a sister, Sandra Campion of South Dartmouth and several nieces and nephews.  Mrs. Lundrigan was the mother of the late Douglas Stutz and sister of the late Frank Bernardo, Shirley Smialek and Audrey Candido.

Private burial in Nathan Slade Cemetery, Somerset is under the direction of the Hathaway Community Home for Funerals, 900 Buffinton St., Somerset.  A Memorial Celebration will be held at a later date.  For memorial register please visit, www.hathawayfunerals.com.
