Bobby H. Mentavlos, 53, beloved son, brother, father and grandfather, passed away at his home on April 25, 2022.
Bobby was born in Montreal, Canada and was the son of Nicolas and Panagiota (Foundas) Mentavlos.
Bobby was a talented carpenter and tradesman, having been employed as a union carpenter with the local 327 out of Boston for most of his life. Bobby loved the outdoors and being a part of nature. He was a born athlete who enjoyed racing dirt bikes, and taking trips up north to ski and snowboard. Most of all, Bobby was a very charismatic man who would light up a room when he walked in. If you met Bobby, you never forgot him. He will be remembered by his family and countless lifelong friends as a kind, funny and mischievous man who would do anything for anyone in need.
Surviving in addition to his parents are his daughter, Ashly Whalen, her husband Sean Whalen; son Brayton Mentavlos; sister, Helen Mentavlos; grandchildren, Benjamin Mentavlos, his mother Abby Freelove, Theodore and Parker Whalen and so many good friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a time of visitation on Monday, May 2, 2022 from 4-7pm in the Hathaway Community Home for Funerals, 900 Buffinton St., Somerset.
His funeral will be held on Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at 10am from the funeral home followed by a funeral service at 11am in St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 289 North Main St., Fall River.
Burial will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery, Somerset.
