Beverly L. Spearin

Obituary

Beverly L. (Leonard) Spearin , 79, of Taunton, passed away on Monday, May 2, 2022  peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family.  She was the beloved wife to Richard C. Spearin with whom she shared 62 years of matrimony. 

Beverly was the daughter of the late George F. and Gertrude (Mott) Leonard, Sr. She was educated in Taunton and had been a lifelong city resident. Prior to her retirement, she had been employed at the Paul Dever State School and then at AEI/SRS Redemption Center in Wrentham, previously employed for many years at Princess House as an administrative clerk. Beverly was a  devoted Catholic and daily communicant of St Ann's Parish of Raynham, she enjoyed praying the Rosary with her friends. She was an avid animal lover and supporter of local performing arts, loved bingo and enjoyed music by Elvis, Johnny Cash & Elton John. Beverly enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, especially attending plays, movies, and going on day trips with her youngest grandson Benjamin. 

Besides her husband, Beverly is survived by: two sons, Richard and his wife Sandy of East Taunton, Paul and his wife Josephine of Taunton, Sisters: Janice DeMoura of Taunton, Jacqueline Moniz and her husband, Charles of East Taunton, Deborah Cardin and her husband, William of East Taunton, grandchildren, Melissa, Chad, Jessica and Benjamin, several great grandchildren and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins. 

Beverly is predeceased by Sisters & Brothers; Carol Carrier, Donna Rusk, George Leonard, Jr.,James (Sonny) Leonard, and the youngest sibling Richard.

Family and Friends are invited to gather on Saturday, May 14, 2022 beginning at noon at Saint Ann Church, 660 N. Main St., Raynham, MA 02767 with a funeral Mass at 1:00 pm.
