Beverly Costa

REHOBOTH- Beverly Costa, 91, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family on November 16, 2022. She was the loving wife of the late Joseph Costa.

Beverly was born in Taunton and was the daughter of the late Manuel Frazer and Mildred (Cotter) Frazer.

Beverly was employed as an elementary school teacher in the Seventh-day Adventist Community for 42 years until her retirement. 37 of those years were spent at the Cedar Brook School in Rehoboth in addition to her time spent teaching in Worcester, Middleboro and Providence. Beverly was a dedicated and caring educator who saw potential in all of her students. Faith and family came above all else for Beverly and she was a lifelong active member of the Taunton Seventh-day Adventist Church. A self taught pianist and organist, Beverly provided music for countless worship services over the years, and also sang in the church choir. She also had a passion for knitting and crocheting, something she enjoyed right up until her final days. Beverly was incredibly giving of herself and would do anything to help those in need. Most of all, she will be remembered as a devoted mother, a fierce and loyal friend and someone who truly enjoyed the simple things that life had to offer. She was a faithful visitor to those who were sick or unable to leave their homes, and even those who were no longer able to remember who she was. She kept in touch with many of her past students, and still had her register of every student she taught throughout those 42 years. Beverly is survived by her daughter, Sharon L. Costa of Rehoboth; brother, Robert Frazer and his wife Dorothy of Taunton and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Eleanor West of New Mexico, Lillian Easton of Colorado, and Irene Miller of California.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend funeral services for Beverly on Sunday, November 20, 2022 beginning at 4pm in the Taunton Seventh-day Adventist Church, 109 Winthrop St., Taunton. Please arrive at the church no later than 3:45pm. Per Beverly’s wishes, don’t be late!

Her graveside service will be held on Monday, November 21, 2022 at 11am in the Mayflower Hill Cemetery, Broadway, Taunton.
