Anthony C. Alfiero Sr. 89 of Fall River passed away after a heroic fight against Covid-19 on January 7, 2021. Anthony has resided in Fall River with his loving wife Donna Alfiero for the past 20 years. Anthony was born in Westerly RI, a son to the late Charles Alfiero and Ann Alfiero (Augieri). He was an avid gardener, Patriots fan, and lover of golf.
A graduate of New Bedford High School, he went on to earn his bachelors degree at Southeastern Massachusetts University.
One of his first jobs was as a trumpet player and instructor for the Rhythm Kings Dance Band from 1948-1950. At just 19, he joined the Air Force and was stationed in Korea during the Korean War, Canada, Japan, Okinawa, the Philippines, Vietnam, New Jersey and Westover. After 20 years in the Air Force he gracefully retired. Following the Air Force Anthony worked at Dumas Market (Fairhaven), Rodney Metals as a slitter and was an accountant for the Skipper Motor Inn as well as Lincoln Park. Later in life he worked as a computer specialist and office manager for Astro Plating in Providence RI and retired as an MIS for NuChrome in Fall River. Anthony loved nothing more than spending time with his family, wife and dogs (Korey, Zack, Kip and Hunter). He truly found his passion in weight lifting and exercising at the age of 60 and continued to work out every day with his fitness trainer. He is survived by his loving wife Donna Alfiero, his son Anthony C Alfiero Jr and his wife Theresa of Dartmouth as well as his daughter Doria Alfiero Bryant and her husband Sam of Fairhaven. He is also survived by his brother Salvatore H Alfiero and his wife Jeanne of Amherst, New York, his niece Lisa Robinson and daughter Alexandra from Maryland, his nephews Scott Mcphearson, Sheldon,Chris and JJ; along with several relatives in Westerly, RI. He has four grandchildren; Logan Wood, Sterling Jalette and her husband Randy, Brianna Collasius and her husband Don, Heather Bryant and wife Ashley, and Kennedy Bryant. He was also the proud great grandfather to Kayden, Jasper, Audrey and Holden. All Services at this time are Private at the request of the family.
