Ana C. Barbosa

Ana C Barbosa, 52, of Fall River, MA, sadly and suddenly, passed away on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 surrounded by her loving family.

Born in St Miguel Azores, Portugal she was the daughter of Antonio and Eva (Aguiar) Docarmo.

Ana is survived by her oldest son, Vanio Tavares and youngest son Eric Barbosa.

She also leaves behind the joys of her life, her two grandchildren Annaleah Tavares and Samuel Barbosa.  She was the sister of Elmira and her husband John, Alzira, Lucia, Madelena, Sonia, Manuel, Antonio, Louis and Paul and Valdemar.

Ana was blessed with something very rare that will be missed dearly: a selfless heart that only wished to see others happy. She was lead by her profound faith in God. She loved to cook (especially for others), tending to her beautiful garden, laughing, taking care of her loved ones, eating ice cream, interior design, going to the beach and picking out clothes for her grandchildren. But the one thing she loved the most in life was seeing her loved ones happy.

Ana worked hard and sacrificed consistently in order to raise her two children with the same values and morals she believed in. She was a beacon of light that will never be extinguished because of the positive impact she had on those around her. She will be missed more than words can ever describe. Her light will live on through her children, grandchildren and the people she shed her beautiful light on.

Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours for Ana followed by a Prayer Service on Saturday, August 6, 2022 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm in the Hathaway Home for Funerals 1813 Robeson St. Fall River, MA 02720.  Prayers to start at 12:00.
