Fairhaven — Amy Lynn Masse, 50, of Fairhaven passed away on Monday, July 27, 2020 at home surrounded by her family. She was the beloved fiancé of Joey Balmain of Taunton.
Born in Stoughton; Amy was the daughter of Roland Masse and Leslie (Anthony) Brunson. She was a graduate of Taunton High School Class of 1988, and went on to earn a bachelors degree in business from Bryant University, and a bachelors degree in education from Chapman University. Amy worked as a second grade teacher for many years at Elizabeth Pole Elementary School, and Edward F. Leddy Elementary School in Taunton. Ms. Masse had a special gift for teaching, and loved each and every one of her students.
In addition to her fiancé Joey, and her parents, Amy leaves behind her son; Karl Burgner of Fairhaven, and brothers; Andrew Masse of Taunton, and Jeffrey Masse of Franklin. She also leaves behind her beloved dog; Tina.
Calling Hours for Amy will be held on Thursday, July 30, 2020 from 5-8pm in the Crapo-Hathaway Funeral Home. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, July 31, 2020 at 11am in St. Francis Cemetery, North Walker Street, Taunton. Due to restrictions; facial coverings and social distancing are required inside the building and at the cemetery at all times.
