Alan S. Waddington

Fairhaven— Alan S. Waddington age 69,  a lifelong resident of Fairhaven, passed away suddenly on January 12, 2023 surrounded by his family. He was the husband of thirty-three years to  Katherine (Cranston) Waddington.   He was born in New Bedford the son of the late Alan and Marie (Deperrio) Waddington.  Alan loved going to concerts, playing guitar, and camping at Myles Standish. He also found joy in his grandchildren. Mr. Waddington worked as an electrical engineer for the Foxboro Company for many years.  Survivors besides his wife are his children: Amy Harger and husband, Mark, from Cedar Rapids, Iowa; Abby Mello and husband, Cory, from Fairfield, Maine; James Waddington and his wife, Elizabeth, from Andover, Ma; Shannon Wilson from Fairhaven; Robert Roderiques and his wife, Danielle from Fairhaven and Amber Roderiques from Fall River; his grandchildren: Brendan, Nicholas, Nathan, Shane, Isabella, Alex, Aaron, Morgan, Trey, Logan, Jackson, Dylan, Benjamin, Emma, Cory Jr, Aidan and great granddaughter, Vivienne. Calling Hours for Alan will be held on Thursday, January 19, 2023 from 4-7pm in the Fairhaven Funeral Home, 117 Main Street, Fairhaven. Relatives and friends are invited attend. Funeral Services and burial are private at the request of the family.  In lieu of flowers donations to provide music lessons may be made to The Shepherd Center for the Performing Arts attention to The Alan Wadding Music Education Fund.  In care of: Fairhaven Frets, 105 Sconticut Neck Rd.
