TAUNTON- It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Aizen Xavier Diaz. Aizen passed away peacefully in the arms of his loving family on January 30, 2023 at the age of 9. He was the son of Maryanne Cotto, Carlos Diaz and Danielle McQueen
Aizen was a bright, talented young man and a fourth grade student at the James L. Mulcahey elementary School, where some of his favorite subjects were reading and math. Aizen’s eagerness to learn and his genuine concern for others around him were something that truly stood out. Aizen loved to ride his bike, skateboard, and visit his favorite trampoline park. He was also a self taught piano player who enjoyed playing for his family. Most of all, Aizen cherished the time he spent with his best friend and brother’s Dienzel and Jaxiel. Whether it was games in the yard or sword fights around the house, the boys were inseparable and always on the look out for adventure. He will be remembered by those who knew him best as the most kind, honest and forgiving young man and a true bright light who was loved by so many.
Surviving in addition to his parents are his siblings, Dienzel Cotto and Jaxiel Diaz; grandmothers, Mayra Collazo and Luz Velasquez, several aunts, uncles, cousins and countless lifelong friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a time of visitation on Monday, February 6, 2023 from 4-8pm in the Crapo-Hathaway Funeral Home, 350 Somerset Ave. Taunton.
Those in attendance are encouraged to come as you are and to wear something red “Aizen’s favorite color.”
In lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution in Aizen’s name to the Hasbro Children’s Hospital of Providence.
