Obituary

Troy D. Lassiter, 44, formerly of Fairhaven, passed away unexpectedly at home, May 13, 2019.

Born in New Bedford, son of the late Eric Schlosser and Mary (Roberts) Nosul and her husband John of Fairhaven, he lived in Fairhaven most of his life prior to moving to Boston where he worked with his Local #7 Iron Workers Union brothers.

Troy was a graduate of New Bedford Regional Technical Vocational High School and received his Associates Degree from UTI (Universal Technical Institute). Prior to the Union, Troy had worked for ABC Disposal for 10 years. He was an amazing auto mechanic and certified diesel mechanic. Troy enjoyed bowling and especially loved spending time with his daughter. He was also very proud of his newly found association to the Martha's Vineyard Aquinnah Wampanoag Tribe.

He is survived by his parents; a daughter, Eliana Lassiter and her mother Loren Baranauskas of Shrewsbury; a brother Eric Lassiter of Fairhaven; step brother, David Lassiter and the late Dwayne Lassiter; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Troy will be cremated and a Memorial Celebration will be held Saturday, May 25, 2019, at 11:30 AM, in the Fairhaven Funeral Home, 117 Main St., Fairhaven. Visitation will be from 10-11:30 AM prior to the service.
