Obituary

Thomas Cartin, Sr., 80, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, May 7, 2018. He was born in Fall River, son of the late Bernard and Bertha (Lovell) Cartin.

Thomas was a Dighton resident for 50 years. He was a graduate of Diman High School and worked for Stop and Shop as a night crew chief for 30 years. In his free time, he enjoyed golfing, Foxwoods, working in the yard, and enjoying his beautiful view of the Taunton River.

He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Marjorie (Jack) Cartin; three sons, John Cartin of Taunton, Randy Cartin of Dighton, and Thomas Cartin, Jr. and his wife Penny of Dighton; six grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; three brothers, George, Dennis and Kevin; five sisters, Pauline, Brenda, Sheila, Delima, and Valerie; and two brothers-in-law Raymond Jack and Barry White. He was also brother to the late Bernard, Jr. and David.

Family and friends are invited to calling hours, Friday, May 11, 2018, from 4-7pm, in the Crapo Hathaway Funeral Home, 350 Somerset Ave, Taunton, MA.

Funeral services and burial will be private at the request of the family.
