Maj. Robert T. Nogueira, 70, of Fall River, passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 2018, at Charlton Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Fall River, the son of the late Manuel T. and Mary Bella (Fernandes) Nogueira. Robert graduated from Somerset High School, class of 1965. Mr. Nogueira served his country with the Untied States Army during the Vietnam War and continued to serve with the Massachusetts Army National Guard 772 Military Police at Camp Edwards for a combined thirty years, earning the rank of Major.
Bob also earned his bachelors degree in business from Roger Williams College and worked for the Xerox Corporation as a technician for twenty years and eventually retired. Bob enjoyed playing pool, riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, and his Corvettes.
Survivors are two sons: Robert T. Nogueira Jr. and his wife Cheryl of Assonet; Brian Nogueira of Seoul, South Korea; a grandson: Brandon J. Nogueira of Assonet; a brother: Jonathan Nogueira of Somerset; many nieces and nephews; good friends: James Lynch of Somerset; and George Miguel of Tiverton. He was the brother of the late Michael T. Nogueira.
Services and burial information for Mr. Nogueira will be announced at a later date.
All arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Hathaway Home for Funerals, 1813 Robeson Street, Fall River.
