Max J. Horvitz, 94, of Fall River, passed away on Sunday, January 21, 2018, at the Tockwotton Home, in East Providence. He was the husband of the late Marion (Cusick) Horvitz.
Max was born in New Bedford, the son of the late Noah and Rebecca Horvitz. He graduated from BMC Durfee High School and attended Northeastern University. Mr. Horvitz proudly served his country during WWII with the United States Army. Mr. Horvitz owned and operated Imported Foods Corporation, a wholesale grocery business, in Boston, for many years.
Survivors are a daughter: Nancy Tobin of Barrington; two sons: David Horvitz of New Bedford; Alan Horvitz and his wife Maria Golden of Centerville; six grandchildren: Jessica, Allison, Samantha, Jacob, Aaron and Jared; along with several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Tilly Horvitz and Jack Horvitz.
A Graveside Service with Military Honors will be held on Wednesday, January 24, 2018, at 11am, in the Temple Beth Cemetery, North Main Street, Fall River. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
