Obituary

Marcia Rapoza, 68 years of age, died in her home, on March 16, 2018, after a nine year battle with cancer.

She was the daughter of the late David F. Rapoza of Fall River and the mother of the late Troy Rapoza and the sister of the late Brenda Silvia. Marcia leaves behind her mother Gilda T. Medeiros and her sister Linda Remy both of Taunton and an aunt Anna Allen of Fall River. She is also survived by her brother in law Larry Silvia of Taunton. She is the aunt of Randall Duquette, Larry Silvia, Nicole Silvia and Lynne Vasconcellos. She is the great aunt of Austin, Logan, Kayla and Kirsten and great great aunt of Henry. She will be greatly missed by her friends including Connie Mish, Diane Medeiros, Mary Levesque and Michael Cory.

Marcia was a graduate of Fall River Schools and she attended St. Michaels College, in Vermont, for two years. She enjoyed cooking, fishing and baseball games. She drove for Checker Cab for many years. Marcia loved to socialize and make people laugh. She was formerly an attendant at both the Wrentham and Paul A Dever State Schools.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Visiting Hours in the Crapo-Hathaway Funeral Home, 350 Somerset Ave.,(Route 138 South), Taunton, on Saturday, March 31, 2018, from 1-3 PM. Interment of her cremains will be private.
