Obituary

Lonna C. (Wylie) Cova, 86, of North Scituate, RI, formerly of Fairhaven, passed away Tuesday, June 25, 2019, at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital in North Providence, RI. She was the wife of the late Louis A. Cova and the late William Viveiros.

Born in Arlington, daughter of the late Earl J. Wylie, MD and Ruth (Bowers) Wylie, she grew up in Watertown and later lived most of her life in Fairhaven. She was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church in Fairhaven.
Lonna attended Burnham's College and later was the supervisor at the former Center Green Rest Home in Fairhaven. She enjoyed shopping, cooking, lunch with her girlfriends, being outdoors on the farm, going to the beach and she was an avid Red Sox fan. As a young woman, she loved to dance and was an accomplished ballet dancer.

She is survived by her children, Linda Dumoulin of Fairhaven, William "Billy" Viveiros of Dartmouth and Michael Viveiros and his wife Denise of North Scituate, RI; a step son, Steven Cova of Manchester, England; eight grandchildren, Gary and Eric Dumoulin, Rebecca Fleurent, Julie Viveiros and Chrissy, Mikey, Matt and Meghan Viveiros; eight great grandchildren, Emma Lonna, Haley, Lillian, Sophia, Nathan, Anna, Gary III and Everly; and several nieces and nephews. Lonna was the sister of the late Marcia Boutwell.

Calling hours are Monday, July 1, 2019, from 9-11am, in the Fairhaven Funeral Home, 117 Main St., Fairhaven with a service at 11:00am. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Fairhaven.
