Obituary

Linda Cecelia (Martin) Caldeira, 80, formerly of Fairhaven, passed away Sunday, June 2, 2019, at the Sacred Heart Home, in New Bedford, after a long illness.

Born in Winsted-Winchester, CT, daughter of the late Manuel and Mary (Souza) Martin, she grew up in New Bedford and settled in Fairhaven in 1970. She had worked at Titleist as an assembler until retirement. Linda enjoyed gardening and loved spending time with her grandchildren and twin great grandsons.

She is survived by two daughters, Cheryl A. Caldeira and her husband John Green of Fairhaven and Charlene A. Caldeira of Dorchester; a son, Mark A. Caldeira and his wife Amy of Deston, FL; two grandchildren, Joshua Knox and his fiancé Courtney Senna and Rachel Caldeira; two great grandchildren, Cole and Chase Knox; a brother, George Martin of FL; a sister, Margaret Nunes of New Bedford and several nieces and nephews. Ms. Caldeira was the grandmother of the late Megan Caldeira and sister of the late Manuel Martin, Mary, Gloria and Delores.

Memorial calling hours will be held Friday, from 5-8pm, in the Fairhaven Funeral Home, 117 Main St., Fairhaven. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated Saturday, June 8, 2019, at 10:00AM, in St. Joseph's Church, Fairhaven. Interment will be private.
