Obituary

Leslie D. Trott, Jr., of Fairhaven, passed away Friday, November 16, 2018. He was 91 years old and was the beloved husband of the late Eleanor L. (Roderick) Trott and later Lila Hogan. Through the years he cherished moments with the Hogan and Silva families of Sconticut Neck.

Born in New Bedford, son of the late Leslie D. Trott, Sr. and Marianna Trott, he lived most of his life in Fairhaven. As WWII ended, he served time as Staff Sergeant with the Army Air Corps in the Phillipines and with the occupation of France and Japan. He later was a commercial fisherman for 50 years and he Captained the F/V Annie M. Jackson and the FV Kilkenny, the later still fishing in Alaska.

During later years he took pleasure sharing coffee with friends and taking walks with his dogs Paddy and Goldie.

He is survived by two sons, Thomas and Leslie; two granddaughters, Kieran and Stephanie and his daughter-in-law, Elaine.

Calling hours are Monday, from 4-7pm, in the Fairhaven Funeral Home, 117 Main St., Fairhaven.

His funeral will be Tuesday, November 20, 2018, at 9am, from the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, at 10am, in St. Joseph's Church, Fairhaven. Interment will be in Nasketucket Cemetery, Fairhaven.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Leslie's memory to the New Bedfortd Fishing Heritage Center,
