Leopold W. Boudreau

Leopold W. Boudreau, passed away January 20, 2018, at Charlton Memorial Hospital a few days after celebrating his 89th birthday.

Leo was born in Fall River to Henri and Rose (Desrosiers) Boudreau. He worked for many years in the Bourne Mill before serving in the army during the Korean Conflict from 1952-1954. After being honorably discharged as a corporal, Leo worked at the Robbins Company, in Attleboro, as a jewelry stamper.

Leo was an avid New England sports fan and had many stories to share of his beloved Red Sox. After their World Series victory in 2004, he proclaimed "I can die now!" He was also a fan of Case High School and Somerset High School field hockey and softball and was awarded team jackets and many autographed softballs.

"Uncle Leo" is survived by a brother Ernest Boudreau of Fall River and many nieces and nephews: Brian and Charlotte Guimond of Westport, Bruce and Celeste Soares of Canton, Ohio, Normand and Jeannine Dube of Martinez, Georgia, David and Ann Boudreau of Westport, William and Rosemary Boudreau of Somerset, Steven and Brenda Boudreau of Swansea, Marguerite and Robert Hayes of Fall River, Rosemary Zammerelli of Rock Hill, South Carolina, and Lauren Boudreau of Tiverton. Leo was predeceased by a sister, Doris R. Dube of Somerset and a brother, Laurent Boudreau of Tiverton.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Louis de France Church, in Swansea, on January 31, 2018, at 10am, following a calling hour at the church beginning at 9am.

Arrangements are by the Hathaway Community Home for Funerals, 900 Buffinton St., Somerset.
