Leonard E. “Gus” Goslin

Leonard E."Gus" Goslin, died on Sunday April 15, 2018, in Morton Hospital, at the age of 91.

He was the son of the late Leonard J. and Elizabeth (Patnaude) Goslin. He lived in Taunton or Raynham most of his life and most recently lived in East Taunton, where he was a communicant of Holy Family Church. He was a graduate of Taunton High School, class of "44". He also attended Old Colony Trade School and became a Master Plumber. He retired after 45 years in the trade. He is a life member of Local #51 Plumbers and Pipefitters with 65 years of service.

He joined the Navy, in June of 1944, and after attending many schools he was awarded his Combat Air Wings. He was then assigned to fly in Torpedo planes as a radio-gunner. He was discharged in June of 1946.

He was a life member of the VFW Post 611, American Legion Post 121, in Berkley, and former member and Past President of the Raynham Lions Club. Also, he is a life member of the Taunton Lodge of Elk. An Eagle Scout, he spent 30 years as a scout and leader. He loved camping, snowmobiling, and boating with his wife. He was an avid fan of the New England Patriots, Boston Red Sox, and the Boston Celtics.

He leaves behind his beloved of 44 years, Patricia B.(Calis) Goslin and four children, Robert Goslin of Lakeville, Kevin Goslin and his wife Rita of Raynham, Margaret Goslin and her wife Valerie Bergeron of East Wareham, and Mary Ellen Levesque and her husband Gerald of Taunton. He was the father in law of the late Nancy Goslin. He also leaves four grandchildren and three step grandchildren and one great grandchild, Leonard E. Goslin, IV. He is also survived by his brother Edward Goslin. He was also the father of the late Leonard E. Goslin, Jr. and brother of the late Irene Moitoza, Lorraine Place, and Robert Goslin.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral from the Crapo-Hathaway Funeral Home, 350 Somerset Ave.,(Route 139 South), Taunton, on Friday, April 20, 2018, at 11 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Family Church, Middleboro Ave., East Taunton, at 12 PM.

Visiting hours on Thursday, April 19, 2018, from 4 to 7 PM.

Private Interment in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.

In lieu of flowers donations in Gus's memory may be made to Wound Warriors.
