Lenore M. Wilkins

Lenore M. Wilkins, 75, passed away on Sunday, January 13, 2018. She was the wife of the late Robert E. Wilkins.

Lenore was born in Fayetteville, NC and was a daughter of the late Bruce and Ruth (Miller) Velon.

Lenore worked as a crossing guard for the City of Taunton for over 16 years. In her leisure time, Lenore enjoyed gardening, reading and volunteer work. Lenore also enjoyed traveling, especially the trips she made with her husband to Aruba where they both held honorary citizenship status. Most of all, Lenore cherished the time she spent with her family, and devoted herself to help raise her grandchildren.

She is survived by her three sons, Scott Wilkins and his wife Denise of Dighton, Robert Wilkins, Jr., and his wife Charlene of Raynham and Erik Wilkins and his wife Tara of Middleboro; sisters, Diana Mattos of Taunton, Carole Krockta and her husband Peter of E. Taunton, Patricia Grant and her husband Edward of NC, Janet Velon of CA and Elizabeth Tomase and her husband Dr. Frank Tomase of Franklin; brother-in-law Edward Selleck of AL, sister-in-law, Elaine Ingalls and her husband Dennis of Norton; grandchildren, Allison, David, Trevor, Jake, Talia, Trey and Ty Wilkins and many nieces and nephews.

She was the sister of the late Bruce Velon and step-sister of the late Thomas and George Selleck.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Thursday, January 17, 2019 from 4-7pm in the Crapo-Hathaway Funeral Home, 350 Somerset Ave., Taunton.

Cremation to follow.
