Obituary

Kailyn Newton, 22, of Westport, MA, passed away on Saturday, November 16. She was the cherished daughter of Fred and Karen (Sicard) Newton, and sister and best friend of Kelsey Newton. She was an alum of Bishop Connolly High School and student at Providence College.

Kailyn lit up every room she entered with her contagious energy and unforgettable smile. She'll be remembered forever as fiercely independent, selfless, kind, and brave. She'll be thought of with every sunrise, sunset, trip to the beach, or any time there is fun to be had, as Kailyn was the life of every party.

Kailyn is survived by her loving family, including her cousins, aunts, uncles, and paternal grandfather, as well as her friends, especially her lifelong best friends, Sami and Madison.

Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, November 23 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Louis de France Church, 56 Buffington St., Swansea.

Kailyn's family will receive relatives and friends at the conclusion of the mass.

For those attending the mass, please plan to arrive at the church NO LATER THAN 10:30am.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests you make a donation to a charity of your choice, or do something kind for someone else in Kailyn's memory.
