Joseph J. Victorino, Jr., 74, formerly of Fairhaven, passed away on Wednesday, December 26, 2018. He was the loving husband of Carole A. (Rose) Victorino, with whom he shared 47 years of marriage.
Joseph was born in Acushnet and was a son of the late Joseph J. Victorino and Angelina (Brillo).
Joe owned and operated the former Joe's Transmission, in Taunton, for over 40 years. He enjoyed building and flying model planes and was known as a man who could fix anything. Joe also enjoyed being on the ocean, fishing and sailing the waters of New Bedford. Most of all, he cherished the time he spent with his family and friends.
Surviving, in addition to his wife Carole, are his children, Joseph Victorino of Saudi Arabia, Nancy Victorino and her husband Vince Sierra of FL and Kathy DiSilvestri and her husband David of Millville; sisters, Ann Robinson and her husband Raymond of Westport, Linda Millette and her husband Donald of New Bedford and Kathleen Beals of Wareham; sister-in-law Sue Victorino and many nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Robert Victorino.
His Funeral will be held on Thursday, January 3, 2019, at 10am, in the Holy Family Church, 372 Middleboro Ave., E. Taunton. Relatives and friends are invited to attend directly to the church.
Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his name may be made to the Taunton Animal Shelter, 821 W. Water St., Taunton, MA 02780.
