Obituary

Henry D. McCone, 79, of Taunton, passed away on Saturday, October 27, 2018, at the V.A. Medical Center, in West Roxbury. He was former husband of the late Dorothy Brown.

Henry was born in Hawthorne, Florida, the son of the late Andrew and Susie (Clark) McCone. Henry graduated from Taunton High School class of 1957 and the served his country with the United States Army. Mr. McCone owned and operated McCone Masonry, in Taunton, for over thirty years, retiring in 2003. Henry was an amateur boxer who also enjoyed saltwater fishing and cooking. He also had a passion for singing and spending time with his grandchildren.

Survivors are his two sons: Henry D. McCone and his fiancé Anna Cabral of Taunton and Scott E. McCone and his wife Paula of Taunton; six grandchildren: Krista, Jasmyn, Kimberly, Alexandria, Samantha and Kayla; four great grandchildren: Adrian, Nova, Jason and Maddison; three sisters: Jettie Henderson of Florida; Margery Dixon of Taunton and Carolyn McCone of Taunton. He was the father of the late Kimberly E. McCone and Kevin A. McCone. He was the brother of the late Alethia Brown, Andrew L. McCone, Logan R. McCone, Calvin C. McCone and Lonnie P. McCone.

His Funeral Service will be held on Monday, November 5, 2018, at 10am, in the Baptist Church of All Nations, 61 Winthrop Street, Taunton. Relatives and friends are invited to attend directly to the church.

Burial to follow in Mayflower Hill Cemetery.

Calling Hours will be held on Sunday, November 4, 2018, from 2-5pm, in the Crapo-Hathaway Funeral Home, 350 Somerset Ave., Taunton.
