Henry Blais, Jr., 81, formerly of Fall River, Norton, Attleboro, and North Attleboro, passed away on Monday, May 7, 2018. He was the husband of Pearl (Hadley Alston) Blais, with whom he shared 43 years of marriage.
Henry was born in Fall River, on June 11, 1936, the oldest son of the late Henry Blais, Sr. and the late Bertha (Ferreira) Blais.
Henry worked as a printer at Attleboro Printing and Embossing for 30 years, and later retired after 10 years as an employee at Wheaton College, in Norton. He was a faithful, and much-loved member of the Baptist Church of All Nations, in Taunton, where he and Pearl led a card ministry which encourages and witnesses to others. Henry was an avid gardener, a great fisherman, and was always available to help where help was needed. He will be dearly missed by his large and loving family.
Besides his wife, Pearl, Henry is survived by a son, Henry Blais III; daughter, Linda; two grandchildren Aaron and Ashley; sister, Dolores (Blais) Guilmette; four step-children, William Alston, Jr., Marcia Perry, Judith Wright, and Denise Alston; step-grandchildren, Nathaniel Washington, Kevin Wright, Michael Alston, Marc Alston, and Amy Washington Winston; step-great grandchildren, Sydney Washington, Yahalaysha Wright, Saraphym Wright, Jillian Alston, Stephen Winston, and Raegina and Damaria Joyner.
His Morning Brunch Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 26, 2018, at 9am, in the Baptist Church of All Nations, 61 Winthrop St., Taunton.
Collation will follow in the Fellowship Hall of the church.
