Glenn J. Walker, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 20, 2018, the day after his 92nd birthday. He was the loving husband of Mary L. (Benjamin) Walker.
Glenn was born in Taunton, and was the son of the late Molly (Glenn) Walker.
Glenn, served his country honorably in the US Navy during both WWII and Korea. He was employed as a switchboard operator at TMLP and in maintenance at Benjamins Restaurant for many years until his retirement. Glenn was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the John F. Parker Golf Course. He enjoyed playing golf well into his 80's and also enjoyed cooking, reading and spending winters in Ft. Myers, FL. Most of all, Glenn cherished the time he spent with his family.
He is survived by his children, Michael Walker of Taunton and Leah Rodrigues and her husband Tarvey of Plympton; grandchildren, Christine Dutra and her husband Eldar, Michelle Toledo and her husband Louis, Jeffrey Walker, and Luke and Olivia Rodrigues; great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Mackenze and Justin and many nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Robert Walker; grandfather of the late Jennifer Walker; and father-in-law of the late Rita (Fratus) Walker.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, September 29, 2018, at 10am, in St. Andrew the Apostle Church, 19 Kilmer Ave., Taunton.
Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his name may be made to the VA of Brockton, 940 Belmont St., Brockton, MA 02301.
