Georgette Florence (Raymond) Beal

Georgette Florence (Raymond) Beal, 94, of Fall River, passed away peacefully at Charlton Memorial Hospital with family at her side on Wednesday, June 13, 2018. She was the wife for 67 years to the late George H. Beal.

Georgette was born in Fall River, the daughter of the late Narcisse and Florida (Pouliot) Raymond. Georgette worked for many years as a seamstress in the local garment industry and besides her love for her grandchildren, she enjoyed playing cards with friends and relatives and traveling via bus to the Connecticut casinos.

She is survived by one daughter, Donna Souza and husband Dale, along with three grandchildren; Darius, Dara and Darina Souza; also by one sister, Annette Terceira and husband Ronald of Palm Bay, FL; along with several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by ten sisters and brothers; Jeannette Cadieux, Albert Raymond, Armand Raymond, Omer Raymond, Alban Raymond, Doris Caisse, Lorraine Cadrin, Edna Carlson, Yvette Rea and Donald Raymond.

Her family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, June 18, 2018, from 9:30-10:30 am, in the Hathaway Home for Funerals, 1813 Robeson Street, Fall River, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 11:00 a.m., at Holy Name Church, 709 Hanover St, Fall River. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Entombment will follow in the mausoleum at Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River.

Memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer's Association, or to Holy Name Church.
