Frank Lopes, the husband, love, and best friend of Roberta Lobo returned home to the Grace of God after a long illness, early May 1, 2018.
Frank was born the youngest child of John and Mary (Charambra) Lopes, on 22 September 1928, in Wareham, Ma, where he spent his young life.
He will live lovingly in the memories of his children Sandra, Frank Jr. (companion Mary), Stephen (wife Emmy) Lopes, and Darrah-Helena Lobo-Caves his 8 grandchildren and his 3 great-grandchildren, as well as, the hearts and minds many more family, friends, and loved ones.
Frank served honorably as a Seaman in the United States Navy during World War II, was a long time member of the Teamsters, and a Freemason.
He will be remembered most for his kind words, his bellowing, and contagious laughter, his tall tales, and his ability to make anyone feel like family.
Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, 9 May 2018, at 11:00 AM, at Our Lady of Assumption Parish, in New Bedford. Per Frank's request, there will be no visiting hours.
