Eleanor Ockert

Eleanor Ockert, 92, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 10, 2018. She was the wife of the late Otto Ockert, Jr.

Eleanor was born in Attleboro and was the daughter of the late George and Yvonne(Bourgeois) Juaire.

Eleanor worked in production control at Texas Instruments for over 30 years until her retirement. Eleanor enjoyed playing golf, and once, she even had a hole in one! She also enjoyed, cooking, traveling, knitting and reading. Most all all, Eleanor cherished the time she spent with her family, and the time she spent with them during holidays and numerous family celebrations brought her the greatest joy in life.

She is survived by her daughters, Carla Ockert and her husband Michael "Lenny" Contaxes and Gail Newman and her husband William all of Attleboro; sons, Dale "Chip" Ockert of Norton and Ralph Ockert of Dennis; sisters, Claire Gosselin of S. Attleboro and Jeanne McAuliffe and her husband Robert of Attleboro; brother, Raymond Juaire and his wife Irene of OH; grandchildren, Katy, Jason, Billy, Troy and Melissa; sister-in-law Nancy Juaire of Falmouth; many great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a large extended family.

She was the sister of the late Gerard "Jay" Juaire.

Her funeral will be held on Monday, October 29, 2018 at 12pm, in the Foley-Cook-Hathaway Funeral Home, 126 South Main St., Attleboro. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.

Burial will be private.

Calling Hours will precede the funeral from 10am-12pm in the funeral home.
