Obituary

Edmund "Butch" Ganem, 76, of West Newton formerly of Somerset, passed away on Thursday, October 25, 2018, at Care Dimensions Hospice, in Lincoln, MA. He was the husband of the late Nancy (Larousse) Ganem.

Edmund was born in Somerset, the son of the late Joseph and Anne Ganem. Butch worked as a maintenance and building manager at the Pierce House in West Newton for over thirty years. He was an avid Red Sox and New England Patriots fan.

Survivors are two sisters: Frances Ellinwood and her husband Earl of West Newton and Barbara Ganem of Houlton, ME; a brother: Michael Ganem of Soulsbyville, CA; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and hundreds of friends. He was pre deceased by a niece Lynn Cassidy and a nephew Scott Ellinwood.

His funeral will be held Friday, Nov. 2, 2018, at 9 AM, from the Hathaway Community Home for Funerals, 900 Buffinton St., Somerset, with a 10 AM funeral mass, in St. Patrick's Church, South St., Somerset. Burial will follow in the St. Patrick's Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
