Obituary

Dolores Barboza, 80, passed away on January 6, 2020. She was the wife of the late William Barboza, Jr.

Dolores was born in Fall River and was the daughter of the late Manuel Viveiros and Veronica (Ozimick) Viveiros.

Dolores was employed in the curtain manufacturing business for many years and was a longtime communicant of St. Dominics Church, in Swansea. Dolores was a lifelong resident of Fall River and Dighton and enjoyed volunteering her time at her church and the local election polls. In her spare time, Dolores loved to cook, play bingo, Rummy 500 and dominos. She enjoyed Sunday drives with her family and was an avid reader. Dolores was also a former member of the Classy Ladies and the Rehoboth Senior Center.

She is survived by her sons, Steven Barboza of Rosedale, MD and Mark Barboza of Virginia Beach, VA; sister Bertha Fournier of Fall River; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Dolores was preceded in death by her eight siblings.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, January 10, 2020, from 4-7pm, in the Hathaway Community Home for Funerals, 900 Buffinton St., Somerset, MA. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.

Burial and Services will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105 or to the Susan G. Komen Foundation for the Cure, 5005 LBJ Freeway, Suite 526, Dallas, TX, 75244.
