Obituary

Daniel A. Fauteux, 73, of Fairhaven passed away unexpectedly Monday, February 25, 2019, at St. Luke's Hospital, in New Bedford. He was the husband of 25 years to Carole (Teixeira) Fauteux.

Born in New Bedford, the son of Armand Fauteux of Fairhaven and the late Rita (Bernard) Fauteux, he lived most of his life in Fairhaven. He was a communicant of St. Mary's Church in Fairhaven.

A graduate of Fairhaven High School and served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War. Dan was a self-employed contractor for many years and enjoyed traveling and spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Carole; his father, Armand and his companion Claire Jeronymo of Fairhaven; two sons, Thadd Fauteux and his wife Karyn of NJ and Jason Fauteux of CO; a daughter, Danielle Schwartz and her husband Jason of AZ; step children, Brian Correia of CT and Vicki Vieira and her husband David of Fairhaven; a brother David Fauteux and his wife Carol of Fairhaven; eight grandchildren, Robert, Aaron and Aiden Fauteux, Kaitlyn Schwartz, Ethan and Tegan Vieira and Tyler and Jack Correia; a great grandson Wayland Fauteux and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours are Sunday, March 3, 2019, from 3-6pm, in the Fairhaven Funeral Home, 117 Main St., Fairhaven.

His funeral will be Monday, March 4, 2019, at 8:00AM, from the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00AM in St. Mary's Church, Fairhaven. Cremation will follow.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675-8517.
