Daniel R. Durette

Daniel R. Durette, 71, of Swansea, passed away on Wednesday, November 28, 2018, at Tufts Medical Center, in Boston.

He was born in Fall River, the son of the late Philippe J. And Yvonne (Simoneau) Durette. Daniel was a graduate of Joseph Case High School class of 1968. Mr. Durette worked at the former Aberdeen Manufacturing for several years. He also worked at the Walmart in the maintenance department, before retiring. He was a communicant of Saint Francis of Assisi Church, in Swansea. Danny loved to golf, fish and play cards.

Survivors are his two sisters: Diane St. Laurent of Swansea and Christine Alford of Swansea; five brothers: Richard Durette of Cranston; Roger Durette of Warwick; Albert Durette of Swansea and Michael Durette Sr. of Swansea; along with many nieces and nephews; a close companion: Lucy Gonzales of Fall River. He was the twin brother of the late Gerald Durette.

His Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, December 4, 2018, at 9am, from the Hathaway Community Home for Funerals, 900 Buffinton Street, Somerset, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10am, in Saint Francis of Assisi Church, 530 Gardners Neck Road, Swansea. Relatives and friends are invited to attend, burial to follow in Vinnicum Woods Cemetery Swansea.

Calling Hours will be held on Monday, December 3, 2018, from 4-7pm, in the funeral home.
