Obituary

Betty L. Angell, 89, of North Dighton, passed away at home, on Sunday, April 15, 2018. Betty was born in Providence, RI, daughter of the late Edgar L. and Dorothy M. (Dennett) Angell.

Along with her family, Betty ran the Angell Motor Court, on Winthrop Street, in North Dighton, for many years. She was a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church, Taunton, where she was director of the Altar Guild. She belonged to various groups and organizations including the Loyal Priscalla Lodge, PNG, PPGL Mass Sub District, IOOMFMU, Odd Fellows, Dighton Republican Town Committee, and past president of the Women's Republican Club of Taunton. She belonged to the Dighton Historical Society, the Women's Guild of Taunton and the Red Hat Society. Betty was an advocate for animals and enjoyed traveling the world with her mother. She was loved so much by her friends and caregivers and will be greatly missed.

Betty is survived by several nieces and nephews, cousins and a godson.

Funeral services will be held, on Thursday, April 19, 2018, at 10 am, in St. Thomas Episcopal Church, 111 High Street, Taunton, MA, immediately followed by a time of fellowship in the church hall.

Burial will be at 1:00 in the Rehoboth Village Cemetery.

Flowers are omitted, donations may be made to the St. Thomas Church Remembrance Fund, 111 High Street, Taunton, MA 02780.

Services are in the care of Crapo Hathaway Funeral Home, 350 Somerset Ave., Taunton.
