Alfred A. LaCombe Jr., 90, of Taunton, passed away on Saturday, December 28, 2019, at the Wedgemere Nursing Home. He was the husband of sixty-nine years to Irene (Bouchard) LaCombe.
Alfred was born in Taunton; he was the son of the late Alfred A. Lacombe Sr and Mary (Klasky) Lacombe. He graduated from Taunton Vocational High School, class of 1946, and went on to work for the James Hook Company of Boston, and in his later years retired from the Foxboro Company as a foreman in the paint shop. Mr. LaCombe proudly served his country with the United States Army National Guard for nine years.
Mr. LaCombe was an avid hunter and fishermen, and also was one of the original members of the Silver City Bass Masters. He was a Life Member of The Air Force Association. He and his wife, along with his children would often vacation in Bartlett, NH for many years, which he always looked forward. Alfred was the former Scoutmaster of Boy Scout Troop Two, in Taunton.
Survivors besides his wife are a son; Allan LaCombe and his wife Karen of Taunton, two daughters; Debra M. Chabot and her husband Dennis of Rehoboth, and Laurie E. Marvel and her husband Gary of Taunton, two brothers; John G. Lacombe of Norton, and Richard Lacombe of Colebrook, NH, two sisters; Ann Hudson of Taunton, and Frances Rannacher and her husband Robert of Taunton. He was the brother of the late William Lacombe. Mr. LaCombe also has several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A Graveside Service with Military Honors will be held privately at the request of the family.
