View Tribute and Sign Guestbook LAKEVILLE – Cynthia M. Shanks, 46, died Saturday, November 7, 2009, at her home in Lakeville after a brief illness. She was surrounded by loved ones at the hour of her death. Born in New Bedford, she was the daughter of William and Ella (La Due) Shanks.
Cindy was a long time resident of Lakeville and enjoyed being outdoors and county living. She was a member of the Soule Homestead and the Coalition for Buzzards Bay for many years, and was a friend to the Lakeville Library, where she was a founding member of their Greenscape Campaign.
Besides her parents, she is survived by her siblings, Anne Marie Rodrigues of New Bedford, Barbara Pike and David Shanks, both of Acushnet, and especially her very dear friends with whom she shared her home.
Funeral Information
A time of visitation will be held in THE CRAPO-HATHAWAY FUNERAL HOME, 350 Somerset Ave. (Route 138 South), Taunton, Monday evening, November 16, 2009, from 6:00-8:00PM. Interment of her cremains will be at the convenience of the family.
