View Tribute and Sign Guestbook DARTMOUTH – Carolyn Mae (Wright) Newett, 66, formerly of Fairhaven, died Thursday, December 25, 2008, at home after a long illness. Born and raised in Middleboro, the daughter of the late Arthur and the late Mildred H. (Winterhalter) Wright, she lived in Fairhaven for the past thirty years before going to live with her son in Dartmouth.
Ms. Newett was a graduate of Middleboro High School. She loved volunteering at the Dartmouth Council on Aging and was an avid gardener and animal lover.
She is survived by her two sons, Michael Machnik and his wife Cheri of Rochester, and Stephen Machnik and his wife Lisa of Dartmouth; three grandchildren, Justin, Jacob and Joshua Machnik, all of Rochester; and several cousins.
