NEW BEDFORD – Sandra M. (Pacheco) Gonsalves, 47, of New Bedford, died Friday, March 5, 2010, in St. Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford after a long courageous battle with heart disease and diabetes. She was the former wife of Joseph Gonsalves, III, of Westport. Born in Wareham, the daughter of Gabriel Pacheco of Rhode Island and the late Nancy (Jones) Pacheco, she lived in New Bedford most of her life.

In addition to her father and her former husband, Sandra is survived by her daughter, Summer-Rae Gonsalves of New Bedford; a sister, Debra Luminiello and her husband Davis of New Bedford; a nephew, Samuel Atkinson, and a great niece, Skyla Atkinson.

Funeral Information

Calling hours will be held Wednesday, March 10, 2010, from 4:00-8:00PM in THE FAIRHAVEN FUNERAL HOME, 117 Main St., Fairhaven. Cremation will follow. Interment will be private.
