Zack J. ("Zaca") De Barros

View Tribute and Sign Guestbook TAUNTON – Zack J. "Zaca" DeBarros, 50, died at his home Monday, January 19, 2009, following a long illness. Born in Madeira Islands, Portugal, the son of the late Vasco and Matilde (DeFreitas) De Barros, he was educated in schools in Portugal and Taunton. He was a communicant of St Anthony’ s Church.
Zack worked as an expeditor for the Swank Company for over thirty years. He enjoyed helping others, sports and gardening. He was loved by all of his brothers and sisters. He was the brother of Fernando DeBarros, Antonio Barros and his wife Maria; Vasco DeBarros and his wife Maria Yvonne, John Barros and his wife Antoinette, Joseph De Barros and his wife Maria Brando, all of Taunton, his twin brother, Francisco DeBarros and his wife Robyn of Pawtucket, RI, Guida Freitas and her husband Ernesto, M. Edviges Lourenco and Maria Dooley and her husband Joshua, all of Taunton. He is also survived by nineteen nieces and nephews and three great-nieces.
Funeral Information
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Anthony’s Church Saturday, January 24, 2009, at 11:00AM. Visiting hours will be held in THE CRAPO-HATHAWAY FUNERAL HOME, 350 Somerset Ave. (Route 138 South), Taunton, Saturday from 8:30 to 10:30AM, prior to the Mass. Interment will follow the Mass in St Joseph’s Cemetery.
