Rosalina (Costa) Rapoza

NEW BEDFORD – Rosalina (Costa) Rapoza, 66, of New Bedford, died Wednesday, July 15, 2009, at St. Luke’s Hospital, in New Bedford, after a long illness. She was the wife of Kenneth A. Rapoza. Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Aristen “Harry” Costa and the late Izaura “Hazel” (Perry) Costa, she was a lifelong resident of the city.

Mrs. Rapoza was a home maker. She enjoyed going to BINGO in her leisure time.

She is survived by her husband; three daughters, Leslie (Costa) Valentin and her husband Jorge and Tanya Borden and her husband Wade, all of New Bedford, and Traci Lee Pina of Sunrise, FL; a son, Gilbert A. Rapoza and his wife Christy of New Bedford; eleven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Rapoza was the mother of the late Jessica M. Costa.

Calling hours will be Sunday, July 19, 2009, from 4:00-8:00PM in THE DONAGHY FUNERAL HOME, 465 County Street, New Bedford, with a funeral service Monday, July 20, at 11:00AM, followed by interment in Rural Cemetery, New Bedford.
