View Tribute and Sign Guestbook NORTON, MA – Seth B. Kinney Jr., 80, of Mansfield Avenue, passed away Friday, December 26, 2008, at Epoch Senior Health Care. Born in Pawtucket, RI, the son of the late Seth B. and Marian (Cash) Kinney, Sr., he was the beloved husband of Norma (Parker) Kinney, to whom he was married fifty-four years.
A graduate of Dighton High School, Mr. Kinney was a Navy veteran who served during the Korean War. Following his military service, he worked for forty years at Texas Instruments in Attleboro as a toolmaker. A member of Faith Fellowship United Methodist Church in Mansfield, MA, he enjoyed gardening, bowling and playing horse shoes. He also enjoyed watching the Boston Red Sox.
Besides his wife he leaves two sons, Thomas Kinney and his wife Maureen of Salem, New Hampshire, Steven Kinney and his wife Danielle of Seekonk, MA; two daughters, Jill Labelle of North Attleboro, and Catherine Lemire of Norton; a brother, Brian Kinney of Federal Heights, CO; and a sister, Jacqueline Desjardins of Hope Mills, NC; eight grandchildren, Kerith Labelle, Jennifer Kinney, Seth Lemire, Daniel Kinney, Andrew Labelle, Jason Kinney, Madeleine Kinney and Jackson Kinney and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Kinney was the brother of the late Wilma Kinney.
Funeral Information
His funeral will be held Tuesday, December 30, 2008, at 10:00AM in the FOLEY FUNERAL HOME, 126 S. Main St., Attleboro, MA; burial will follow in Stevens Corner Cemetery, Anawan Street, Rehoboth. Calling Hours will be held Monday, December 29, from 3:00-7:00PM in the funeral home.
