(Lowney) Tomas, 78, of Barrington, passed away following a long illness on Saturday, December 22, 2007, at the Waterview Villa in East Providence, RI. Born in Fall River, the daughter of the late Michael and Margaret (Walker) Lowney, she was the beloved wife of the late Vincent A. Tomas.
Mrs. Tomas received her bachelor’s and master’s degree from Brown University. She then worked for Brown University in administration for thirty-five years, retiring as an associate dean in 1991.
She leaves her niece, Margaret Sylvester of Maine; a nephew, William M. Harrison of Louisiana; two step-sons, Jefferson Tomas of Providence, and Otis A. Tomas of Nova Scotia, Canada.
Funeral Information
A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 28, 2007, at 11:00AM in the HATHAWAY HOME for FUNERALS, 1813 Robeson St., Fall River, MA. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
