Rosalina V. (Sousa) Janeiro

FALL RIVER – Rosalina V. (Sousa) Janeiro, 50, of Fall River, passed away Monday, December 29, 2008, at Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River. Born in Saint Michael, Azores the daughter of Christine (Vincent) Sousa of New Jersey and the late Carlos Sousa, she was the former wife of the late Jose R. Janeiro.

Mrs. Janeiro worked at the Esquire Café in Fall River as a bartender for several years. She was a true people person and was loved by many, especially her family and grandchildren. Rosalina was a collector of professional hockey cards and porcelain dolls, and was an avid pool player.

In addition to her mother, Mrs. Janeiro leaves a daughter, Melody Janeiro and her fiancee Eric Oliveira of Fall River; seven sisters, Filomena Sousa, Anna Pinto, Martha Sousa, Christine Carter, Alexandra Sousa, Maria Rezendes, Sandra Sousa; and three brothers, Rui Sousa, Jorge P. Sousa, and Joao P. Sousa, all of New Jersey; two grandchildren, Zachary and Kayla McKenze.

Funeral Information

Memorial visitation will be held in the HATHAWAY HOME for FUNERALS, 1813 Robeson St., Fall River, Saturday, January 10, 2009, from 11:00AM to 1:00PM, followed by a prayer service at 1:00.
