Esther (Perry) Ferreira, 85, of Chace Street in Swansea, passed away Tuesday, December 6, 2005 at Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River. She was the wife of fifty-four years to Edward A. Ferreira. Born in Bermuda on September 19, 1920 the daughter of the late Manuel and Madeline (Rego) Perry, she spent her life raising her family, and was a member of the Third Baptist Church in Fall River for many years.

Survivors beside her husband are a daughter Trelita L. Rodrigues of Swansea, MA two sisters Helen Sterkel of Denver, CO and Betty Taber of Memphis, TN also five brothers Gilbert, Manuel, Ernest Donald, and Edward Parry all of Bermuda, two grandsons and many nieces and nephews

Funeral Information

Her funeral service will be held on Friday, December 9, 2005 at 10am in the Hathaway Community Home for Funerals, 900 Buffinton St., Somerset, MA Relatives and friends are invited to attend, burial to follow in oak Grove Cemetery Fall River. Calling hours are Thursday, December 8, 2005 from 4-7pm.
