FALL RIVER – Paul A. Pelletier, 65, of Fall River, MA, and Whiting, ME, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, December 31, 2008, at his residence in Fall River. Born in Fall River, the son of the late Horace and Edith (Couture) Pelletier, he was the husband of Wilhelmina “Terry” (Connelly) Pelletier, with whom he shared forty-three years of marriage.
Mr. Pelletier was a graduate with the Class of 1961 of Joseph Case High School in Swansea. He served his country with the United States Army, earning the rank of Sergeant. Paul was the owner of Paul Pelletier Electric Company for thirty years and was a master electrician in both Massachusetts and Rhode Island. He enjoyed spending summers with his family and friends at the family home in Maine. He also collected model trains, enjoyed salt water fishing and spending time aboard the Ocean Star. He also went on numerous camping trips in his RV.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Pelletier is survived by two daughters, Pamela J. Nickerson and her husband Ken of Fall River, and Kimberly A. Pelletier, also of Fall River; a son, Jack P. Pelletier and his wife Kimberly L. of Swansea, MA; two sisters, Melanie Demoranville and Michele Pelletier, both of Swansea; two brothers Peter Pelletier of Swansea, and Michael Pelletier of Griswold, CT. He was “POP” to three loving grandchildren, Brad and Amy Nickerson, and Hannah Pelletier. He was also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his long time friend, Phantom the cat.
His funeral will be held Monday, January 5, 2009, at 9:00AM from the HATHAWAY HOME for FUNERALS, 1813 Robeson St., Fall River, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM in Saint Bernard Church, 32 Main St., Assonet. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial will follow with MILITARY HONORS in the Assonet Burying Ground.
