Manuel Catalan, 72, of New Bedford died Wednesday, November 29, 2006 unexpectedly at home. Born in Las Piedras, Puerto Rico, the son of the late Bernardo Catalan and the late Juana Lozada, he lived in Puerto Rico all of his life before coming to New Bedford a year ago. He enjoyed playing his guitar and games.

He is survived by a son, Carlos M. Catalan of Puerto Rico; two daughters, Doris and Suzette Catalan both of New Bedford; a son in law, brothers and sisters; six grandchildren; a great grandson and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Information

His service will be Monday at 12:00 Noon in the Donaghy Funeral Home, 465 County Street, New Bedford followed by interment in Pine Grove Cemetery, New Bedford. Calling hours will be Monday from 9:00 AM until the time of the service.
