Lillian Ivel

View Tribute and Sign Guestbook Lillian (Girdwoyn) Ivel, 93, formerly of Hargreaves avenue Somerset, died Saturday at Charlton Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late John E. Ivel. She was born March 12, 1912 in New York City, New York a daughter of the late Albert C & Julia ( Weiss) Girdwoyn.
She was a Sales Clerk, the former KC Store for 12 years, and also for Cherry & Webb for 16 years before retiring. She has lived in Somerset since 1941 coming from New York, and previously living in Ohio, she also had wintered in Ft. Myers Beach Florida until 1986.
She was a member of the Congregational Christian Church of Somerset, she was a member of the Civil Defense & First Aid Unit in Somerset during WWII.
She is survived by nephew Leonard Ivel of Leicester MA, and 2 grand nieces Holly Ivel, Robyn Ivel. She was the sister of the late Hilda Ivel.
